My Best Friend

Jake and I were laying in our bed this morning with Benjamin in between us. Benjamin leaned over to hug me and said, "Mama your my best friend!" The he looked at Jake and said, "Daddy, your my best friend.!" Talk about putting us on cloud nine. So lets see if he is still saying that to us in 13 years.

Happy Birthday BABE!

Yep, it's my good looking hubby's birthday today. I will try not to let anyone know that he is 30 years old today! 30 years old and batting 1000. Has a (great) wife, and two absolutely beautiful kids, including a daughter that has him wrapped around her fingers. He just doesn't realize it quite yet, but I see it day in and out!

His son asks every morning when he is away working, "where is Daddy at?" then proudly answers his own question. "DADDY is working on Fire Truck, MOM!" I say yes, yes he is. For the past three days, all he can talk about with me is Dad's Birthday. He knows as soon as I pick him up tonight from daycare. We are making Dad's birthday cake. This little boy also asks every morning, if Dad is going to pick him up from Day care today. This morning, I sadly said, No Mama will, but you will se him tomorrow! And the way his face lights up at the thought of his Dad is indescribable!

He is so excited that he wanted to go tell Dad at 4:30 this morning. HAppy BIrthday! Birthday cake? haha. And this amaazing Dad was in the recliner rocking his baby girl Jonna at that time.

So, Happy Birthday to my Man. Thanks for putting up with me. Thanks for being an awesome father. And bless you for being an awesome husband! I love you.

VITAMINS and SUPPLEMENTS

I am asking myself.... Why the heck didn't I write this post a long time ago!! I am always emailing my friends and family recommending supplements that may cure or prevent their ailments. Why not share it with everyone I love!?

Some great information with you on vitamin and supplements:

I order from iherb.com. As you go through all of these products, you will notice the great discount you get on them by ordering on this site. There are huge savings, and these are some of the best quality vitamins out there. Compare prices to your favorite Health Food Store or Grocer. Also, you can qualify for free shipping and other discounts.

My favorite Brand: "NOW FOODS". This brand was recommended to me by Jake's Uncle who is a Chiropractor, and quite the nutritionist. He lives in San Bruno, California. Probably one of the healthiest individuals I have met.

Personl favorites for overall health under that brand are:

Special Two (multivitamin plus green foods)

Omega 3-6-9 (essential Fatty acids and includes Fish Oil),

Calcium and Magnesium with Vitamin D (Calcium supplement that contains Magnesium and D help your body better absorb and make use of the calcium)

Vitamin D3(immunity- the only way our body is able to get D is from Sunlight, and we all know in the winter months we aren't out in the sun much)in the 5,000 i.u.

I take all of these daily. I am also very proud to say that Jake does too. FINALLY! It only took five years of marriage to get him on a daily regimen of vitamins.

I highly recommend all of these vitamins. But browse through and see what else you can find. I kind of like to look through and try out new things that benefit my body.

Another supplement which I have taken and is great for woman especially around our hormonal time of the month or even when you are just stressed the HECK OUT!: "Super Lysine + Immune System" Want a cure for the horrific cold sore or prevention thereof. HERE IT IS!

What about our children, they need good supplements too because we all know our toddlers might not be eating everything we want them too. LOL!

First, just a good Vitamin Mineral in whole food sources:
Childlife, Multivitamin and Mineral
There is nothing worse than having a poor sick baby! Try this:
First Defense
I give both Jonna, (six months) and Benjamin (2.5yrs) this supplement. It is truly amazing in this sick season. I actually found out about it from one of my favorite persons in the world, Margie, at the Doctor's Office I used to work at. Her daughter is a chiropractor and has been giving it to her infant daughter since she was months old, and swares by it. I have tried it out, and it is some fantabulous stuff. The best part about it is I add it to their favorite drink or bottle, and no problem!
Also to keep the immune system up to prevent sickness try: Childlife Echinacea Jonna loves the taste of this especially and I drop it right in her mouth.

Is your infant or toddler worked up fighting a nap or sleep time: Try two sprays of this, and you will be pleasantly surprised.
Bach Remedy Stress Relief. Heck, I use it to calm myself down sometimes! It is literally just a combination of several flower essences.

Really just read the reviews on these products. People that take them love them, and I can vouch for it. Always looking for a way to live a longer, healthier life! Am I not the only one that loves to feel like they are healthy?

Now, as always talk to your doctor if you are uncertain whether you or your children should take one of these vitamins or have questions.

So, just check it out. You will not be disappointed. And if you do order, try and use my referral code - OLE737. It benefits both of us. And always, share your love of vitamins, you never know when you might be preventing a common cold or headache of one of your friends or family.

Highlights of My 2009, soon to be highlights of 2010

1) Baby Jonna, born 1/16/2009, and can you believe she will be 6 months old this week?!
2) Ben turned two, 1/6/2009, potty trained before 2 and 1/2. YAY!
3) Family trip to Gulf Shores, June 2009. Ben got to play in the ocean. I got to get a tan and relax my last month before we had Jonna. My friends and I still say it was one of the most relaxing trips ever.
4) Going backward, but we made it Midway, Utah in December 08, January 09. Rented a beautiful house with the Holee side of the family, and spend some great quality time together. We hope to do it again this year in June in Denver!!!
5) TRIP #3, wow, we really did take three big trips this past year----- San Francisco, San Bruno, and Browns Valley, California. More visiting of the Holee family side. AMAZING!
6) Whoa. okay, knock on wood. Not one trip to the emergency room!
7) I learned how to make my Mother in laws recipe of clam Chowder. Mmmmm fabulous.

Well, these are the one's that are at the top of my head. Man, I am just so behind on blogging. I can't tell you how many times I have something to write about, and don't make it to post it!

Goals for 2010: Additons to previous post

Make more quality time with my hubby. So far we are on a roll. We have it set up with another couple in our town to take turns every other week to watch each others kids a couple hours on a weekday. I mean there is so much that runs through my mind that we could find to do.......Go out to eat, go grocery shopping, fold laundrey, clean house, go play pool or other recreation, take a nap with hubby...so many options. Now, do you think I would get as excited about these things before we had two kids at home....LOL!

And we are planning two driving vacations this year: One with the Holee side to rent a house in Denver around June, and then the second one in the later part of the summer to drive to Gulf Shores or another beach again with some friends! We are going to try to save money this year by driving verses flying! I am so excited!!

And finally, we need a new car. Which is probably going to happen sooner than later. The Accord may have to be auctioned off or traded in for a new vehicle with lower miles. So we shall see what that holds.

I would also like to re-do some parts of the house...of course that involves $$$$$, so we are hoping for a good tax return, and maybe that will help in this goal. We could use newer appliances in the kitchen and re-do our bathrooms.

So far, the New year has been good. We continue to be blessed and are so thankful.
